L A Arabic Language & Culture Meetup Group
|
Marhaba! The diversity of the Arabic language and culture, where the adherents of the language and culture stretches from Western Sahara to the West, Iraq in the East, Syria in the North and Comoro Islands in the Southern tip of this language landscape. They are Muslims, Christians and Jews speaking the same language and living side by side and having similar culture. Subtle differences make up for the diversity due to the vast area of landscape this language is spoken today, religious and racial backgrounds, and influences from the past which remained from the European colonial times. This meetup was established to bring together like-minded folks such as: people who want to learn Arabic language or culture; native and intermediate speakers who want to converse with others; and also simply to participate in cultural events in and around Los Angeles. Yalah, let's do the Kifak thing.
