Hi ya'all! Well, Mother's Day is nearly here and you know what that means -- my BIRTHDAY! Yep, I was born on youm al'oom, and what a gift I was. . . 
Although I'm turning 3__ on the 11th, I'm having this bash on Friday, May 16th, for, as you may know, my grandfather, Philip Butler Riegelman, passed away last week.
BIRNUR will be doing a short performance for us at 8:30!

Although it's my b-day, this party is really just a social gathering for us all to come out and enjoy each ohters company - to see old friends and make new ones too! If you haven't yet attended one of our 'Rooftop Hafilat', you should take this opportunity to come out and see us. It matters not whether you're new to the club or an oldie like me - all are welcome!
Basmah El Enabrim, al'Modira of the ~ Jersey City - Hoboken Bellydance Meetup ~ will be performing for us!

SEVERAL FRIENDS FROM THE BELLYDANCE MEETUP ARE COMING AS WELL!
NOTE: I live in a 5-story brownstone walkup -there is no elevator. We'll be gathering on my roof (no, you can not fall of, it's completely safe and enclosed). Yes, my apartment will also be open, for bathroom breaks, use of the kitchen, and general R&R. However, the par-tay is uptop. I've had numerous Hafilat on the roof, which, although they didn't 'bring the roof down, were a smashing success.

If so, let us know!
PLEASE BRING something to share with others, whether that be drinks (Juice, wine, beer, . . .), food (your own dish or something you've purchased), or something else - but don't come empty-handed. If you have Arabic Music or Arabic Music Videos (CD/DVD), bring em, so we can show'em! Feel free to bring your hookas, but leave your Kif at home!
Do you play any instruments? If so, bring em' so you can JAM!
**While alcohol is permitted, please drink responsibly. Those who 'misbehave' will be asked to leave. We're all here for good, clean, safe FUN!
Since we'll most likely be on the roof when you arrive, we probably won't hear you buzz the buzzer - so make sure you have my cell number so you can call when you arrive - that being (347) 523-3937.
FINALLY, I'll be checking the weather forecast on Friday. If it looks like rain, we'll postpone the Hafla to the following Saturday.
